India won the toss and elected to bat against Zimbabwe in Harare, as Shubman Gill continued his successful streak of calling the toss correctly for the third consecutive T20I.
This decision gave India a strong batting lineup, with players like Washington Sundar coming in at No. 8. As a result, some top-order batsmen had to adjust their positions, with two of the top four – Jaiswal, Gill, Abhishek Sharma, and Ruturaj Gaikwad – moving to No. 3 and No. 4. India also opted for four proper bowling options, with Abhishek and Dube expected to bowl four overs between them.
“The pitch is not as flat as the second game and not as moist as the first game,” noted Raza during the toss.
The series is currently tied at 1-1, with Zimbabwe winning the first match before India bounced back with a convincing victory in the following game.
