Yashasvi Jaiswal made history by scoring 12 runs in the first ball of the Indian innings in the fifth T20I match against Zimbabwe. The umpire called a no-ball after Jaiswal hit a six off the high full-toss bowled by Sikandar Raza. The next ball was a free hit and Jaiswal smashed another six. This unique feat made him the first cricketer to score 12 runs off the first legal delivery in a men’s T20I match.
India batted first and posted 167 for 6 despite facing some tough bowling from Zimbabwe in the fifth T20I match. Sanju Samson’s 58 off 45 balls and a partnership with Riyan Parag (22 runs) helped India recover from a shaky start.
Pacers Blessing Muzarabani (2/19) and Richard Ngarava (1/29) were the most successful bowlers for Zimbabwe.
India made changes to their playing XI by bringing in Mukesh Kumar and Riyan. Zimbabwe also included Brandon Mavuta in their lineup. India leads the series 3-1.
