Indian cricket team star batter Virat Kohli was seen crossing a street in London in a viral video after the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Kohli had a tough time in the series, scoring only 58 runs from 3 matches at an average of 19.33. The video clip of Kohli in London has spread on social media. Prior to this sighting, Kohli had traveled to London with wife Anushka Sharma and their newborn son Akaay after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 victory. The couple was also photographed attending a kirtan at the Union Chapel in London.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah is set to return for the three-Test series against New Zealand starting on October 16 after a well-deserved break post India’s T20 World Cup win. However, Bumrah could continue resting for the two Tests against Bangladesh in September.
The Indian team management is considering adding more variety to the pace attack, possibly introducing a left-arm seam and swing bowler into the mix of pacers contending for a Test spot.
According to a BCCI source, “Bumrah knows his body best and it will be his decision if he plays in the Tests against Bangladesh. The team is clear that a fully fit Bumrah is needed for the five Tests against Australia. Before that, he is likely to play against New Zealand in India to prepare for the tougher challenges.”
Arshdeep Singh has been playing T20 regularly and was introduced to red ball cricket as part of Rahul Dravid’s plan, while Khaleel Ahmed is also in consideration but has some inconsistencies in his bowling.
There are discussions about Yash Dayal as another left-arm seamer option, although he is currently behind Khaleel and Arshdeep in the race. (With PTI inputs)
