“Considering the circumstances, we performed admirably. We adapted well to the conditions and made smart decisions while batting and bowling. It was a great team effort overall.”
“Every batsman needs to play their part,” Rohit emphasized. “Even though only one player scored fifty, we still managed to reach 196. In T20s, it’s not about individual milestones but about building pressure on the opposition.”
“All our batsmen were focused on attacking from the start. This is the style we aim to adopt and encourage going forward. Experience plays a key role, and we believe in using that on the field.”
“Today was a perfect example of what he can do with the bat. He’s a very important player for us. If he can keep doing that, we will be in good positions”

Former India captain and head coach Anil Kumble praised the team’s aggressive approach.
“You want batsmen to take on the bowlers,” Kumble mentioned on ESPNcricinfo’s T20 TimeOut show. “You can’t afford to be passive in this format. It was pleasing to see the intent shown by the batsmen.”
“Having an extra batsman at number 8 [Ravindra Jadeja, who didn’t bat] allowed the top order to play with more freedom,” Kumble added. “The focus is not on one player scoring big, but on everyone contributing and playing aggressively.”
“Hardik’s batting was crucial once again,” Rohit acknowledged. “We rely on him to finish the innings strongly after the top order sets the platform. He’s a key player for us, and if he continues in this form, we’ll be in good stead.”
