Pakistan’s T20 World Cup campaign in the USA has caused turmoil within the country’s cricket board as players face criticism for their conduct during the tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering implementing a code of conduct for players following the team’s disappointing performance and reports of indiscipline.
A source within the PCB revealed that Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is displeased with the conduct of senior officials and is planning to take action. It is expected that the PCB will tighten its policies and may prohibit players from bringing their families to future ICC and major events.
“The players bringing their families, including wives, children, parents, and siblings, to the World Cup has not gone down well with the chairman,” the source stated, attributing this leniency to some biased officials within the board.
The source also mentioned that the PCB chief is seeking a performance assessment report from senior management officials, as concerns grow regarding the preparation for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
