MS Dhoni is considered one of the most successful captains in cricket history. He led Team India to three ICC trophies, including the 2011 ODI World Cup. However, his most memorable achievement came in the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007, where he led India to victory. In the final against Pakistan, Dhoni’s decision to give the last over to Joginder Sharma proved to be a match-winning move, as India clinched the title.
Recently, Dhoni reunited with Joginder, who is now a Deputy Superintendent of Police, after 12 years. The meeting was captured in a post on Joginder’s Instagram. The duo had also played together for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
In a recent statement, Dhoni mentioned that he will assess the rules and regulations before deciding on his future in IPL 2025. Speculation about Dhoni’s future in the IPL has been rife, especially after CSK appointed Ruturaj Gaikwad as captain for IPL 2024.
