England has unveiled their schedule of home matches for the upcoming season, featuring both men’s and women’s teams facing off against India in a series of matches during the summer. Additionally, the ECB has confirmed that Lord’s will host its first-ever women’s Test match when India returns for a singular game in 2026.
The 2025 season will witness a visit from both the West Indies men’s and women’s teams, along with England Men taking on Zimbabwe in a standalone Test match before wrapping up the summer with ODI and T20I series against South Africa.
The international season will kick off on May 21 at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury, with England Women playing West Indies in the first of three T20Is followed by three ODIs.
The men will start off with a four-day Test against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge from May 22-25, followed by a series of three ODIs and T20Is against West Indies.
England Men’s five-Test series against India will commence at Headingley on June 20, with subsequent matches at Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford, and The Oval.
Simultaneously, England Women will go up against India in five T20Is, starting at Trent Bridge on June 28, followed by a three-game ODI series that includes matches at Lord’s.
With the Hundred likely dominating August, England Men’s international fixtures will wrap up with six white-ball games against South Africa before heading to Ireland for a three-match ODI series.
“Hosting both England Men’s and England Women’s series concurrently has been well-received by fans and has supported the continual growth of the women’s game. The upcoming West Indies and India series are set to follow the same format next year, promising fans an exceptional cricketing experience,” stated Richard Gould, the CEO of ECB.
“The anticipation of India’s tour is always high and is a highlight of the cricketing calendar. We look forward to an electrifying series next year, and the competitiveness of the women’s series is always a standout. We are thrilled to welcome back both West Indies teams for white-ball fixtures following this year’s men’s Test series.”
“Welcoming Zimbabwe back for a men’s Test Match will be a momentous occasion, over two decades since their last visit. Test cricket holds a special place in our hearts, and we are committed to supporting developing Test-playing nations to ensure the longevity of this format of the game,” he added.
“We are delighted to announce that India Women will return in 2026 to face England Women in the inaugural women’s Test match at Lord’s. It will be a truly historic event with significant meaning.”
